1937, Premiere of themovie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfsa, the first animated sound colour motion picture (83 minutes) one of Disney's greatest films, and a poineering classic tale in film history. It was the first commercially successful film of its kind and a technically brilliant, innovative example of Disney animation. The remarkable film making use of the multi-plane camera to achieve an effect of depth, introducing human characters (the Queen, the Huntsman, the Prince, and Snow White herself), and using larger painted celles and drawing boards, was released during Christmas of 1937.
